On July 19, Dwyer Instruments employees and interns dedicated their time and energy to the Michiana Humane Society and SPCA. The Michiana Humane Society strives to find "forever homes" for dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, and other small animals in LaPorte County, IN and Berrien County, MI. Run solely on donations and volunteer work, the Michiana Humane Society provides a safe harbor to an average of 1,000 to 1,200 animals yearly.
One of the volunteers, Dwyer Talent Acquisition Specialist, Christopher Chavez, noted:
We are happy to partner again with the Michiana Humane Society & SPCA for one of our favorite summer intern events. Not only does the MHS do remarkable work caring for our community's animals, but they also happen to be one of Dwyer's closest neighbors. Our interns truly enjoyed the opportunity to work together to help the Michigan City community.

Sales Engineer Intern, Jake Rinda remarked:
While we were able to assist the shelter in its incredible work of uplifting the lives of animals, in a fun-filled day of volunteering, we were uplifted ourselves. Opportunities like these demonstrate Dwyer’s commitment to its employees and to giving back to the community, and I look forward to volunteering with my coworkers in the future!
This is the second year Dwyer has been able to send volunteers to the Michiana Human Society and Dwyer employees always look forward to this annual event.
