This winter, Dwyer was one of the sponsors of the Northwestern Indiana Science and Engineering Fair (NWISEF).

The NWISEF is a pre-college student fair hosted at Valparaiso University. The top winners of the competition were invited back to compete at the Hoosier Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis.

Fair Coordinator, Marcie Guzman, stated:

This year’s fair provided intense excitement and competition with 50 student exhibitors displaying 45 projects in all areas of the STEM fields. The buzz was electric throughout the exhibit hall as volunteer judges from all walks of life interacted with these amazing students.

The competition allows students to showcase their strengths and learn from other participants. Through research and hard work, these young engineers are able to get the hands-on experience that will help them build a future together.

Dwyer Instruments, Inc. Senior Human Resources Manager, Shawn Rutkowski, said:

Each year we are amazed by the knowledge and talents seen at the Northwestern Indiana Science and Engineering Fair at Valparaiso University. We are excited to watch these students advance in the STEM fields.

In the past, the Dwyer team has submitted product donations for university students and gathered school supplies for local elementary schools. Dwyer strives to support both its community and the future generation of engineers.
